Parking / Shuttle Situation
Linked below is a map outlining parking options for the event. Please note that parking is not available in the driveway or cul-de-sac at 312 W Indrio Rd, as these areas are reserved for immediate family, the band, and the caterer.
The majority of parking is available in the two larger lots near the neighborhood entrance, which offer plenty of space and easy access to the shuttle. Parking is also available along a section of W Indrio Rd and on Timber Rock Rd, though these spots are more limited.
A shuttle will run continuously between the parking areas and the house. Please refer to the map for exact locations and shuttle details.
How we got here:
In the midst of both an entire kitchen and a bathroom renovation – spurred by some leaky 100 year old pipes – we thought to ourselves: We need another project. Let's plan a wedding.
How it all started:
Honestly, just good conversations and lots of tacos, fried chicken, and occasional potty humor.

Pizza the Night Before (by invitation)

We’ve invited our closest friends and family to join us for a celebratory dinner at the American Legion in downtown Blowing Rock.
Expect good pizza, cold drinks, and live music.

Backyard Boda
5:00 pm
The ceremony will take place at 5:00pm in the backyard of 312 W Indrio Rd. If it rains, we’ll move indoors at the same location.
We originally planned for a smaller ceremony, but we’re so excited to now include more friends and family. There will be plenty of chairs for those who need them, but we may have to ask a small handful of young and able guests to stand during the (short & sweet!) ceremony.
If you’d prefer to join us just for cocktails & the reception, that’s perfectly fine—we’re just happy to celebrate with you!

Rideshare Apps
The wedding reception is on the Blowing Rock side of the stretch between Blowing Rock and Boone. We expect there to be decent availability for things like Uber and Lyft.

Attire
The groom’s wearing a coat and tie—whether it’s a full suit is anyone’s guess. We’d love for you to dress up a bit too, but nothing too serious. Ties optional, smiles encouraged.
It’s a fall wedding on grass and cobblestone, so choose your footwear with adventure (and stability) in mind.
Townes
We’ve had a lot of folks ask if Townes will be making an appearance at the wedding. Yes, he will be. He wouldn’t miss a party with that many snacks on the ground.
Holiday Inn Express
They're giving us a special block rate if you book before Aug 22. Just mention the Amos-Barber wedding. It's about a 6 minute drive to the wedding venue and less than that to downtown Blowing Rock.
The Getaway
In downtown Blowing Rock – this place looks nice. They'll give you 5% off if you mention the Amos-Barber wedding and book by Aug 7. It's about a 5 minute drive to the wedding venue.
Meadowbrook Inn
The Meadowbrook Inn is offering a 25% discount if booked by Aug 20. Just mention the Amos-Barber wedding. In downtown Blowing Rock and about 5 minutes from the wedding venue.
Other Inns & Airbnb
In addition to the few places that offered us a room block, downtown Blowing Rock is full of charming inns across a range of price points—as well as a whole bunch of Airbnb options nearby. Give it a google and see what calls to you!
